About us

Changing Lives with
Knowledge

LWL provides locally led, evidence-based expertise and practical solutions to strengthen Sierra Leone’s education system at all levels.

We support government to improve teaching and learning, strengthen leadership and governance, promote inclusion and accountability, and ensure every learner can thrive and contribute to national development. Today we work alongside government, district education offices, head teachers and teachers across Sierra Leone, so the gains outlast any single programme. Tomorrow, when the funding cycle closes, the school is still standing and the teaching is still better.
